Rhymes

When I’m writing for children I sort of become a child myself so I get lost in the world of funny and quirky prose.

There is also something enchanting about rhyme; not only is it great to read aloud but it’s an ideal way to help children with their reading skills. It helps them understand word patterns and words that share common sounds. I also like to engage children with questions at the end of every rhyme which is a favourite part of the books for parents and children. Here are some of my favourites which also happen to be the children’s too!
